Role Overview:
This role is part of the software team at General Motors, focusing on the development of the in-vehicle digital ecosystem that brings GM’s software-defined future to life. The team is responsible for infotainment, apps, connectivity, personalization, and seamless interactions, shaping the customer experience in every GM vehicle and differentiating the brands in a rapidly evolving industry.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the engineering groups shaping the digital systems, capabilities, and experiences that define the future of mobility.
- Develop the AI, perception, and decision-making systems that advance assisted and automated driving across GM’s portfolio.
- Engineer the embedded software, controls, and electrical platforms that serve as the foundation of every GM vehicle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of measurable value to customers and the business.
- Innovate and implement solutions that power critical functions—from propulsion to body controls—and enable GM to deliver safer, more capable, and more connected vehicles at scale.

Requirements:
- Strong leadership skills with a proven track record in engineering management.
- Deep technical expertise in software development, systems engineering, and validation processes.
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams and driving complex projects to successful completion.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in software engineering, systems engineering, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in leading engineering teams and managing large-scale software development projects.
- Strong understanding of automotive systems, including occupant safety and security systems.
- Familiarity with validation methodologies and tools used in the automotive industry.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically about system-level challenges.
