Responsibilities
Coordinate domestic and international freight movements from supplier collection through to final delivery, Select the most suitable transport mode in consideration of cost, delivery time, cargo type and operational risk, Obtain, review and negotiate freight quotations to ensure pricing is competitive and commercially appropriate, Coordinate freight forwarders, transport providers, customs brokers, suppliers, warehouses and internal stakeholders, Prepare and maintain shipment schedules, registers and tracking reports, Monitor shipments and provide timely updates on collection, departure, arrival, clearance and delivery milestones, Verify freight documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, air waybills, certificates of origin and import permits, Assist with freight budgets, forecasts, accruals, cost allocations and reporting, Develop and monitor logistics performance measures including on-time delivery, freight costs and service-provider performance
