Job Description:
Research activities will entail the application and development of algorithms and bioinformatic methods for genomic data analysis, aimed at the study of monogenic and complex genetic diseases with particular focus on psychiatric and cardiovascular disorders. The Researcher will be expected to manage, analyze, and integrate high-dimensional genomic data derived from the main sequencing and molecular profiling technologies, in order to characterize different features of the human genome including genetic variation and its functional impact, chromatin structure and organization, gene expression and epigenetic modifications (such as DNA methylation).

Teaching activities will be carried out within the scientific-disciplinary sector MEDS-01/A “Medical Genetics” and will include participation in examination boards and student support activities, including supervision of undergraduate and doctoral theses. The overall teaching load, including classroom lectures, supplementary teaching activities and student services, will be defined in accordance with the University Regulations governing the allocation of teaching duties and the assignment of teaching appointments, available online.
