Responsibilities
Prepare financial statements and notes to accounts in accordance with local GAAP and internal policies. Convert US GAAP trial balances to local GAAP or IFRS, reconcile balances periodically, and document GAAP differences. Ensure entries in the local GAAP ERP are recorded accurately and on time. Partner with the Tax team to provide information for interim and final tax provisions. Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations. Establish audit timelines with external auditors and standardize prepared-by-client (PBC) lists. Communicate audit requirements and deadlines to stakeholders, monitor progress, resolve queries, and drive audits to completion. Manage statutory filings, including certified annual financial statements and supporting documents required by local authorities. Review financial close activities regularly to identify and resolve unusual items. Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs). Research changes to accounting standards, income tax regulations, and compliance requirements, and assess their impact. Prepare disclosure checklists and ensure compliance with applicable accounting and disclosure requirements.
