Role Overview:
To strengthen our research team, we are opening a Postdoctoral Research Position at the Department of Plant Diversity and Evolution of the Institute of Botany of the Czech Academy of Sciences in Průhonice. We are looking for a colleague (M/F) interested in diploid and polyploid plants.

Responsibilities:
The role involves conducting research in plant diversity and evolution, specifically focusing on diploid and polyploid plants. Key activities include:
- Conducting plant experiments.
- Performing fieldwork and data collection in flora or vegetation.
- Working independently in the field and reliably following protocols.
- Handling samples and executing basic laboratory workflows.
- Managing data through digitization, quality control, and working with structured datasets.
- Performing statistical analyses and reporting using MS Excel and Access.
- Collaborating with the team and communicating in English.

Requirements and Qualifications:
- Education: Ph.D. or equivalent in botany (or equivalent experience).
- Experience:
- Experience with plant experiments.
- Experience with fieldwork.
- Field experience with data collection in flora or vegetation.
- Ability to work independently in the field and reliably follow protocols.
- Experience with sample handling and basic laboratory workflows.
- Skills:
- Strong data skills: digitization, quality control, and working with structured datasets.
- Competence in MS Excel and Access for statistical analyses and reporting.
- Teamwork and communication skills; ability to collaborate in English.
- Careful, responsible approach to equipment and data integrity.
- Language: English.
