Valeo’s VIE Program?
The Valeo VIE Program is available to citizens of the European Economic Area (EU + Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland) aged between 18 and 28. This program is to work for one of our subsidiaries around the world!

At the heart of electric mobility, Valeo Power brings together expertise in thermal management systems and propulsion systems. This division develops innovations that contribute to the mobility of tomorrow by reducing pollutant emissions and maximizing vehicle autonomy.
The site of Kohnan based in Japan belongs to Power Division. We are looking for a VIE Industrial Performance Engineer for 12 months within the team.
Your challenges?
• You identify, develop, and implement productivity improvement initiatives to enhance the site's cost competitiveness and operational performance
• You support the achievement of cost-saving objectives by monitoring productivity performance and ensuring the successful execution of improvement projects
• You coordinate productivity review meetings, follow up on key action plans, and ensure clear visibility on progress, risks, and next steps
• You collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities, solve operational challenges, and accelerate project implementation
• You contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by promoting new ideas, challenging existing processes, and sharing best practices across the organization
• You support the development and maintenance of performance dashboards and reporting tools to provide accurate data and support decision-making
• You participate in productivity workshops and contribute to building a strong culture of continuous improvement within the site
Let’s talk about you…
• You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or a related field
• You have previous experience in continuous improvement, industrial performance, manufacturing, or project management through internships, apprenticeships, or a first professional experience
• You are fluent in English. Knowledge of the local language is a plus
• You have strong analytical skills and enjoy working with data and performance indicators
• You have good communication skills, an international mindset, and are open-minded to new cultures and new ways of working and thinking.
• You are autonomous, proactive, well-organized, and eager to drive continuous improvement initiatives. You are humble, a good listener, positive, professional, and have a strong sense of diplomacy.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus
