Responsibilities
Monitor all loads under dispatch authority for on-time service and temperature; Prepare daily dispatch schedule for drivers and equipment; Act as primary contact for drivers regarding breakdowns, directions, and delivery discrepancies; Record and report driver accidents; Share responsibility with Transportation Supervisor to monitor driver's hours of service (HOS); Adjust delivery and backhaul assignments to accommodate changes; Interface with 3rd party providers to procure transportation services; Review and voucher all expenses/invoices for the department.
