Direct overall operation, management, and safety of the unit offshore; supervise rig positioning and anchor mooring; coordinate vessel ballast and loading; order rig supplies and parts; make decisions regarding utilization of drilling-related equipment; conduct daily briefings with crews; communicate with Operator's on-site representative; control drilling rig costs; measure and manage shipboard machinery space generated wastes; command the MODU and ensure personnel safety; maneuver and position the vessel on well locations; oversee catering staff and accommodation; prepare weekly reports on drilling operations and equipment status.
