Responsibilities
Provide executive-level project management oversight for multiple concurrent events; Establish standardized project management processes and accountability frameworks; Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies; Conduct post-event evaluations and lead continuous improvement initiatives; Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to deliver integrated outcomes; Shape long-term vision, standards, and goals for event operations; Use data and guest insights to inform strategic decisions; Partner with executive leadership to drive innovation and efficiency; Establish and monitor KPIs for service quality and team performance; Ensure successful event coordination through leadership and team development; Coordinate outside service needs with vendors using structured project planning; Develop strategic partnerships to support revenue generation and fiscal management; Prepare and monitor Event Services department budgets; Review and approve event schedules; Meet with potential clients to advise on requirements and negotiate additional services; Serve as liaison for clients and internal partners to ensure consistent service; Direct, supervise, and schedule event management services, staffing, security, crowd management, and safety personnel; Represent the facility at tradeshows and industry meetings; Prepare monthly event reports for General Manager and Board; Develop and monitor compliance with policies and procedures; Establish customer service standards and ensure department training; Negotiate contracts with suppliers for facility activities; Act as Manager on Duty (MOD) to maintain total responsibility over clients, staff, and safety; Lead, mentor, and develop managers through performance management and succession planning; Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
