Responsibilities
Own end-to-end optical link performance including architecture, link budgets, impairments, margins, and compliance; Develop system-level models and simulations spanning optical, electrical, DSP, and FEC behavior; Define system requirements, interface definitions, and performance specifications; Lead cross-functional technical execution with analog, SerDes, PIC, reliability, firmware, packaging, and related engineering teams; Serve as a customer-facing technical leader in system reviews, performance discussions, and issue resolution; Work hands-on in the lab to support characterization, validation, correlation, debug, and product bring-up; Mentor engineers across disciplines and contribute to systems engineering best practices
