Responsibilities
Travel to assigned U.S. Coast Guard facilities to complete physical inventories of facility-related control systems and associated hardware and software. Identify and record equipment information such as manufacturer, model, serial number, firmware version, operating system, and physical location. Enter collected information into a configuration management tool while maintaining data accuracy and integrity. Run predefined scripts to collect system details from control system workstations and servers. Work with on-site facility engineers and local points of contact to locate equipment and understand system setups. Provide informal cybersecurity hygiene guidance and operational technology best-practice support to on-site personnel. Prepare and submit routine reports covering inventory progress, site visit summaries, and any discrepancies or issues found.
