Responsibilities
Lead and assist in planning and implementation of Department programs, projects, and initiatives to include the regional fatality management collaborative workshops and preparedness planning; Develop, update, maintain, and evaluate the emergency management plans, standard operating procedures, and manuals for the County's mass casualty and fatality management program; Manage the Continuity of Operations (COOP) program for the Office of the Medical Examiners (OME), including maintaining and updating OME's COOP plan and conducting COOP trainings, drills, and exercises; Conduct after-action reviews and implement continuous improvement initiatives following exercises and real-world activations; Serve as the 24/7 on-call duty officer on a weekly rotating basis by providing responsive customer service and maintaining regional situational awareness; Serve as essential personnel in the County, partner city, town, and tribal nation's Emergency Operations Center (EOC) during emergencies and exercises on a 24/7 basis
