## Job Description
We are looking for a highly analytical, multidisciplinary student to join our team in a dynamic semiconductor manufacturing environment. This role sits at the intersection of Foundry Quality and Reliability data science, and automation. You will gain hands-on experience with day-to-day Fab28 Quality and Reliability operations while playing an active role in modernizing our workflows through smart automation and AI-driven solutions.
If you are fascinated by the opportunity to gain strong technical expertise in the semiconductors process and want to apply your coding and analytical skills to solve complex, real-world engineering problems, this is the role for you.
## Responsibilities
- Deliver standardization in product qualification, manufacturing quality systems, and methods.
- Evaluate materials and processes technology to ensure compliance with product quality and reliability requirements.
- Determine reliability requirements and automated screening methodologies to achieve company, customer, and regulatory reliability objectives.
- Ownership of fab technology certification and readiness activities for introduction of new technologies into Fab28, supporting robust quality, reliability, and early detection/containment capabilities.
- Partner in creating CIP (Continuous Improvement Plans) and CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) for major events.
- Identify manual bottlenecks in our reporting and engineering workflows and develop robust scripts to automate them.
- Build and implement AI-driven solutions to detect correlations and prepare data for advanced analysis, moving our team toward predictive methodologies.
- Bridge the gap between physical manufacturing processes and software/data engineering, learning the physics and mechanics behind the data you analyze.
## Requirements
- Education: BSc/MSc, pursuing a degree in Physics, Physics and Computer Engineering, Physics and Mathematics, Industrial Engineering with a specialization in Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- At least 4 semesters until graduation.
- Ability to work at least 20 hours per week (2.5 days a week).
- Programming Skills: proficiency in Python, Power BI, for data manipulation and automation.
- Data Fluency: Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to query, manipulate, and extract actionable insights from massive, complex manufacturing databases (e.g., SQL).
- Adaptability: A proven ability to step outside your core academic scope. You must be willing to learn the terminology, physics, and constraints of semiconductor manufacturing.
- Innovative Mindset: A self-starter who proactively looks for opportunities to optimize legacy processes with modern tech.
## Nice to Have
- Strong foundation in engineering principles and statistical analysis.
- An understanding of basic manufacturing principles, process control, or hardware architecture.
- Keen interest in semiconductor physics and solid understanding of engineering concepts.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment.
## Benefits
- Hybrid work model: eligible to split time between on-site and off-site.
- Opportunity to work on cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing technologies.
- Exposure to AI and automation in a real-world engineering environment.
- Collaborative and multidisciplinary team environment.
