Responsibilities
Partner with Berlin Operations to establish scalable cost accounting workflows and standard costing methodologies. Lead monthly close processes for GmbH inventory including raw materials, WIP, and finished goods reconciliations. Ensure local accounting activities comply with German GAAP and manage financial documentation for local government grants. Manage PCard reconciliations and review capital expenditure vs. operational expenses. Serve as backup for US cost accountants and support cross-training on US month-end workflows. Review and clear consolidated transfer orders between international subsidiaries. Maintain costs associated with satellite materials, launch, and build processes. Assist in labor capitalization tracking across internal software development and satellite construction. Perform purchase price variance, production variance, scrap, and Excess & Obsolete analysis.
