THE OPPORTUNITY

A Senior Product Designer uses a broad set of inputs, including business context, awareness of technical considerations and constraints, UX research, and UX skills and expertise, to craft experiences that are accessible, useful, and usable. 

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Understand, scale, and apply activities within the product design process at D2L from project inception to delivery 

Design workflows and experiences that are usable, functional, and consistent 

Share expertise in the project domain area and develop expertise in the broader domain, user flow, or product area (product and pedagogy) 

Identify activities and deliverables for large projects of high complexity 

Influence priorities, scope, and roadmap 

Take ownership of project activities and deliverables.  

Foster collaboration with other designers on a large project or part of a broad scope design initiative 

Support other designers on adjacent projects or within a broader initiative 

Contribute to defining a vision for an initiative 

Educate and advocate with the project team on product design activities  

Share strategic deliverables with the design team and outside of project team 

Complete defined inclusive design and accessibility activities to craft accessible experiences 

Participate in design reviews by framing and sharing works in progress throughout the process and by sharing useful and actionable feedback with peers 

Collaborate with UX Research, and support research activities through identifying research needs, providing project context, and aligning on outcomes; assist with note-taking and analysis

The expected base salary range for a new hire in this role is listed below. The annualized base salary offered is determined by each candidate’s relevant knowledge, skills, education, training and experience. It is aligned to ensure both internal and external competitiveness using market data for the geographic location and industry. As part of the total compensation at D2L the role may be eligible for additional benefits including a Wellness Subsidy, Equity Grants, Variable Incentive, and more.

Base Salary Range

$85,000—$106,000 CAD
