Senior Staff Engineer, ERP Workday (HCM Functional Consultant)
REQUIREMENTS:
• Total Experience 8+ years
• Strong experience in Workday HCM configuration, maintenance, and support.
• Extensive functional expertise across Workday HCM modules, including: Core HCM, Advanced Compensation, Compensation, Absence, Time Tracking, Benefits, Learning, Recruiting, Candidate Engagement and Talent and Performance
• Strong understanding of Workday HCM business processes, security concepts, organizational structures, and configuration best practices.
• Proven experience gathering business requirements and translating them into scalable Workday HCM solutions.
• Experience configuring and supporting Workday HCM modules throughout the implementation and support lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience with Workday enhancements, releases, testing, production support, and continuous improvements.
• Experience developing and maintaining functional and technical documentation, including business requirements, configuration documents, technical specifications, test plans, process flows, and user guides.
• Ability to ensure Workday HCM solutions align with organizational objectives, compliance requirements, and HR best practices.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex functional issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate technical and functional concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders and business leaders.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and mentoring capabilities.
• Experience working in Agile development and project delivery environments.
• Workday HCM Certification is preferred.
• Experience supporting global HR processes and enterprise-scale Workday HCM environments is highly desirable.
• Availability to work during US/UK business hour overlap.
• Preferred shift: 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM IST.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead the configuration, maintenance, enhancement, and support of Workday HCM modules based on business requirements.
• Act as the Functional Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Workday HCM and HR business processes.
• Configure and support Workday HCM modules, including Core HCM, Advanced Compensation, Compensation, Absence, Time Tracking, Benefits, Learning, Recruiting, Candidate Engagement, and Talent & Performance.
• Collaborate with HR, business stakeholders, IT teams, and leadership to gather requirements and design scalable Workday HCM solutions.
• Analyze business processes and recommend system improvements to maximize Workday capabilities and operational efficiency.
• Ensure Workday HCM configurations align with business objectives, compliance requirements, and organizational policies.
• Lead Workday release management activities, including impact assessments, testing, validation, and deployment support.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex functional, configuration, and system-related issues.
• Develop and maintain functional and technical documentation, including business requirements, configuration documents, technical specifications, test plans, process flows, and user guides.
• Monitor new Workday features and recommend the adoption of relevant functionality, best practices, and process improvements.
• Manage multiple Workday initiatives, enhancements, and support activities while ensuring timely delivery within project timelines.
• Provide leadership, guidance, coaching, and mentorship to consultants and team members.
• Facilitate workshops, stakeholder meetings, solution reviews, and end-user knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Communicate technical and functional concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate with IT leadership to ensure Workday HCM solutions align with the organization's overall technology strategy.
• Support Agile delivery methodologies and actively participate in planning, testing, implementation, and continuous improvement activities.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
