Responsibilities
Own significant areas of the monthly close including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, variance analysis, and financial reporting; Manage accounting for key areas such as revenue, accounts receivable, payroll, commissions, operating expenses, prepaids, and fixed assets; Review contracts and business activities to identify and resolve accounting implications; Own and continuously improve accounting workflows in Rillet and other tools within the finance technology stack; Build processes and controls that improve accuracy without creating unnecessary complexity; Use AI and automation to reduce manual work and improve the speed and quality of the close; Partner with Strategic Finance and teams across the company to ensure transactions are recorded correctly and issues are addressed early; Support the annual audit, tax filings, and other compliance requirements; Take ownership of new accounting projects as the company and products evolve
