## Software Engineer, Device Based Experiences, Google Wallet **Location:** Singapore **Level:** Early **Experience:** Completing work as directed, and collaborating with teammates; developing knowledge of relevant concepts and processes. **XGoogle will be prioritizing applicants who have a current right to work in Singapore, and do not require Google's sponsorship of a visa.** ## Minimum qualifications - Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. - 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Kotlin). - 1 year of experience with data structures or algorithms. - 1 year of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java/Kotlin, Go, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience such as Kotlin, Java, or Swift. ## Preferred qualifications - Experience with full-stack, including designing and integrating with server-side APIs to support client features. - Experience in Android development. - Experience in Kotlin and Java. - Understanding of Android internals. - Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment. ## About the job Google's software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. In addition to consumer payment technologies, the Payments team also powers the money movement between Google and its consumers and businesses. ## Responsibilities - Collaborate with android device manufacturers (OEMs) to enable Wallet features on various device types, including wearables and devices with real-time operating systems (RTOS). - Develop software that interfaces with device hardware like NFC controllers, secure elements, and biometric sensors. - Develop and scale secure digital credentials for transit, access control (campus, corporate, and residential), and automotive keys within Google Wallet. - Collaborate with Android platform teams to design and implement new APIs and capabilities that enable Wallet features on a wide range of devices.
