Own and manage mechanical casting commodities/subcategories to execute supplier production strategies; Vet suppliers' production capabilities, factory layout, facilities, and workforce for inclusion in Approved Supplier List; Support Supplier Quality Engineers in ensuring adherence to part quality criteria; Own bringing up new production tooling & lines at supplier sites; Establish and drive process performance and controls (SPC) reviews at supplier sites; Identify and drive product and process improvements, factory layout optimization to lower part cost and reduce supply risk; Support root cause task forces and close the loop of corrective/preventative actions at supplier sites
