Own and manage mechanical fabrication commodities/subcategories to execute supplier production strategies; Vet Suppliers' production capabilities, factory layout, facilities, and workforce for inclusion in Approved Supplier List; Support Supplier Quality Engineers in ensuring adherence to part quality criteria; Own bringing up new production tooling & lines at Supplier sites; Establish and drive process performance and controls (SPC) reviews at Supplier; Identify and drive product and process improvements, factory layout optimization to lower cost and reduce risk; Support SQE with root cause task force and close the loop of corrective/preventative actions at Supplier
