Senior/Lead Product Manager, Toronto time zone

Our client is a leading European online car marketplace, serving 30M+ monthly users across 18 countries. As Senior/Lead Product Manager, you'll join their E-commerce team, focused on Website and Digital Retail products, a hands-on delivery role for someone who can step quickly into an active, fast-moving product area, translate stakeholder and customer needs into clear requirements, and keep delivery teams aligned. Ideal for a Product Manager who's execution-oriented, thrives in ambiguity, and enjoys turning complexity into clarity.
We are looking for candidates who can align with Toronto (ET) working hours, or who are comfortable working a shifted schedule with daily overlap until at least 4:00 PM ET.
Responsibilities:
Drive day-to-day product execution for initiatives across the client's Unified Web and Digital Retail product area
Gather, clarify, document, and validate business, customer, and technical requirements
Translate requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and delivery-ready documentation
Partner closely with engineering, design, QA, and other cross-functional teams throughout delivery
Manage the product backlog, support prioritization, and ensure work is well-defined before development begins
Facilitate stakeholder discussions, resolve requirement gaps, and communicate decisions, dependencies, risks, and progress
Support sprint planning, refinement, demos, testing, release readiness, and post-launch follow-up
Use customer feedback, product data, and business context to inform practical product decisions and tradeoffs
Requirements:
5+ years of product management experience, including hands-on ownership of product delivery and requirements gathering
Experience at a minimum of two different companies or organizations in a Product role
Experience working on e-commerce products, consumer websites, or other customer-facing digital experiences
Strong experience partnering directly with software engineering teams in an agile environment
Demonstrated ability to turn ambiguous needs into clear requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery plans
Strong stakeholder management skills across technical, operational, and business teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail
Nice to Have:
Experience in automotive, automotive retail, digital retailing, or dealer technology
Experience with website platforms, e-commerce conversion, lead generation, or online purchase journeys
Familiarity with analytics, experimentation, content management systems, and modern product management tools
Experience working in a complex platform environment with multiple stakeholders, integrations, or dependent teams
