Software Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!

The Role

• Develop and optimize RAG pipelines, including retriever components, embeddings, indexing processes, and evaluation logic.

• Integrate and utilize knowledge graphs to provide structured context to AI systems and agents.

• Implement agentic multi-step workflows with MCP clients, orchestration logic, and supporting tools.

• Design prompting strategies, chunking concepts, and context preparation methods tailored to specific product requirements.

• Integrate AI models into existing platforms and systems.

• Optimize performance, conduct benchmarking, and manage costs for RAG and agentic architectures.

What You'll Need

• Solid experience in software development with Java, Python, or TypeScript (minimum 4 years).

• Experience with or strong motivation for working with RAG pipelines, retrieval systems, vector databases, or graph technologies.

• Ability to translate AI potential into concrete, user-oriented product features.

• Structured, reliable work approach with a high degree of personal responsibility and a strong focus on execution.

• Keen interest in data-driven systems, search technologies, and context architectures.

• Team-oriented mindset and clear, effective communication in interdisciplinary teams.
