## About the company About WM Studio We're building Director, an AI creative director. Describe a vibe in plain language and Director plans the shots, generates the images and video, edits the sequence, and delivers publish-ready content. No crew, no editing software, no limits. It's a genuinely agentic system: it reads the whole brief instead of just the last prompt, plans multi-scene productions, routes each scene to the best generative model, learns and applies creative skills (casting, storyboard, editing), keeps session and cross-project memory of your brand and characters, and plugs into your stack to fetch assets and publish directly. The product is live, we're backed by Zest, and we're defining what "vibe production" means. ## About the role We're looking for our founding technical lead, the person who owns the technology end to end. You'll set the technical direction (architecture, stack, engineering choices), build hands-on, and as we grow, hire and lead the engineering team. You'll work directly with the founder, who owns product and company vision. You own how we build it. This is a near-cofounder role: full-time, high-ownership, equity-first. ## Responsibilities - Own the architecture of an agentic AI system: brief understanding, multi-step planning, and orchestration that turns one prompt into a finished production - Design and scale the model-routing layer that picks the best image/video model for each scene - Build the skill and tool framework Director uses (casting, storyboard, editing) plus its session and long-term memory - Own the media pipeline that generates clips and assembles them into final edits with rhythm, transitions, and audio - Own technical direction across the agent, the web app, the MCP server, the CLI, and external integrations - Lay the foundations for the engineering team you'll later help hire and lead ## Requirements - Senior engineer who has built and shipped real products end to end - Strong plus: building with LLMs and agents (orchestration, tool/function calling, memory/RAG), AI model APIs, or media (image/video) pipelines - Comfortable owning architecture autonomously in a fast-moving AI domain - Startup mindset: thrives early-stage, fast, with high ambiguity - Wants ownership and equity upside over a big salary today, betting on the vision with us ## What we offer - ~4% equity: real ownership, near-cofounder level - Work at the frontier of agentic AI and generative media - Full technical ownership and influence - Work with cutting-edge AI and media technologies - Be part of a mission-driven team building the future of creative production - Flexible remote work with a focus on results - Opportunity to shape the future of the company and the industry
