## About the Role
You will be AE #4 on our team. We have found strong product-market fit and are looking for someone who can run full-cycle deals with engineering and QA buyers, from first call through close, while helping us sharpen our enterprise motion as we scale. This is a high-ownership role. You will work closely with founders, influence our sales playbook, and have real input on how we price, package, and position ContextQA in the market.
## What You'll Do
- Own the full sales cycle for net-new accounts: prospecting, discovery, demo, proof-of-concept, negotiation, and close
- Run consultative discovery with VP and Director-level engineering and QA leaders to map their current testing stack and identify gaps ContextQA can solve
- Partner with Solutions Engineers on technical evaluations and POCs: you set the business context, they run the technical depth
- Collaborate with our Sales team and the broader org to build repeatable multi-threading motions across Dev, QA, and Platform stakeholders
- Contribute to our channel motion by working alongside partner-sourced opportunities from RSIs and dev/QA consulting firms
- Maintain clean CRM hygiene and provide accurate weekly forecasts to leadership
- Share field learnings that improve our positioning, objection handling, and deal strategy
## What We're Looking For
### Must-Haves
- 3 to 7 years of B2B SaaS sales experience, at least some of it in a closing role
- Experience selling into engineering, QA, or DevOps buyers; you understand their world, their tooling, and what makes them say yes (and no)
- Genuine fluency in the modern testing and DevOps stack: CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI), test frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, TestNG), and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Track record of hitting or exceeding quota in an early-stage or resource-constrained environment
- Strong discovery skills: you ask better questions than you give pitches
- Experience running full-cycle deals in the $20K to $150K ACV range
### Strong Pluses
- Prior experience at a QA automation, test management, or DevOps tooling company (Tricentis, Mabl, Testim, Sauce Labs, TestRail, Zephyr, or similar)
- Experience selling through or with channel partners (RSIs, dev/QA consulting firms, or system integrators)
- Background as a developer, QA engineer, or SDET, or a first job in a technical role before moving into sales
- Sold in a competitive market against established incumbents like Selenium Grid, Cypress, or Playwright-based DIY setups
## What Success Looks Like
- 30 Days: Ramped on product, ICP, and competitive landscape. First 10 outbound sequences launched. Shadowed at least 3 live deals.
- 60 Days: Active pipeline built. Running discovery and demos independently. First opportunities in late-stage. Loop open with the SE team.
- 90 Days: First deal closed. Forecast reliable. Contributing to the playbook with deal learnings and objection-handling patterns.
## Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission
- Meaningful equity at an early-stage company (409A valuation in process)
- Health insurance (medical, dental, vision) with generous employer contribution
- 401(k) with Safe Harbor employer match
- Remote-friendly, flexible work environment
## About the Company
ContextQA is an AI-powered QA testing platform that helps engineering teams ship faster with fewer bugs. We combine intelligent test generation, self-healing test automation, and deep CI/CD integrations to eliminate manual QA bottlenecks, letting developers and QA engineers focus on building rather than babysitting flaky tests.
We are an early-stage, seed-funded company with a small, hungry team. This is an opportunity to join before the rocket ship takes off and have a material impact on how we build our go-to-market motion.
## Why ContextQA
We are a small team doing real things. You will not be a cog in a machine. Your deals, your relationships, and your ideas will directly shape how we grow. If you want to sell a product your buyers genuinely need, build a playbook instead of following one, and grow with a company from the ground floor toward something much bigger, we want to talk.
