## About the Role StarSpark AI is a learning platform that gives every student AI-powered teachers built for grades K-12 and AP. We combine AI and neuroscience to deliver accurate, step-by-step support across math, science, AP courses, and more, so students actually understand the work instead of just getting through it. Students who use StarSpark weekly improved a full letter grade in under three months. We serve students directly, along with the parents and homeschool families supporting them. StarSpark AI is looking for a Content Creator to build our presence and drive signups across TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. This is a paid, part-time contract role and a great potential fit for a college internship. Our social content centers on two primary audiences: parents/homeschool families, and high school students. We're looking for someone who's genuinely curious about what each of these groups cares about when it comes to learning, studying, and using AI as a tool for education. You don't need to be part of these audiences yourself. You do need a strong instinct for short-form video and the willingness to learn an audience deeply enough to make content that feels native to it. NOTE: Please include your portfolio and/or samples of work (reels, carousels etc) in your application. ## Responsibilities You'll work closely with the Head of Marketing to shape social ideas, then take them from concept to finished, posted content. - Script, shoot, and edit short-form video and carousel content for TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts, built for our two primary audiences: parents and homeschool families (curriculum support, academic tools, responsible AI use) and students (AP, studying, college prep, learning) - Learn both audiences well enough to create content that speaks to them credibly, in their language and around what they actually care about - Get on camera and create content that feels relatable and real - Design clean, scroll-stopping visuals and carousels in Figma, CapCut, and Canva, with a sharp eye for hooks, pacing, captions, and on-screen text - Keep everything on brand: consistent voice, look, and feel across every post, so the content always reads as StarSpark - Take trends and formats we land on together and ship them fast while they're still relevant - Watch what parents, homeschool families, and students are talking about on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Reddit, and parent and student creator pages, and bring that back to the table - Help track performance and use what's working to shape the next round of content ## Requirements - You're willing to learn the StarSpark platform inside and out so your content is always accurate and on point - You have strong branding, graphic design, video editing skills - You're comfortable on camera and can make content that feels natural, not like an ad - You spend time on StudyTok and have a feel for what students, parents, and homeschool families actually engage with - You're curious about AI and how it fits into the way students learn today - You're passionate about social media and creating content - You're a self-starter who can take direction and run with it - You communicate clearly and proactively, whether that's sharing an idea, flagging a blocker, or giving a status update ## Nice to Have - You've made your own TikToks, Reels, or Shorts, especially about school, studying, SATs, APs, homeschooling, parenting, or student life (or worked with a brand in this space) - You've created content in the edtech, education, or parenting categories - You've spent time in homeschool, college prep, or academic parent communities online - You've taken the SAT and AP classes - You've built an audience or grown an account, even a small one, and understand what moved the numbers - You've tutored students, been homeschooled, or been part of a study group, ambassador program, or peer mentoring setup - You're comfortable experimenting with AI tools to speed up content creation - You have a real passion for social media and content creation ## What We Offer - You're making content that parents, homeschool families, and students actually see, not mock projects for a portfolio - You work directly with the Head of Marketing and get real input into what we make - You get hands-on experience in short-form content, edtech, and AI from inside a fast-growing startup - Strong work can lead to an ongoing or expanded role after the summer ## About the Company StarSpark AI is a learning platform that gives every student AI-powered teachers built for grades K-12 and AP. ## Role Details - Role: Content Creator - Type: Contract, part-time - Pay: $25/hour - Hours: 10–20 hours per week - Location: Remote, U.S.-based - Ideal candidate: Recent grad, or creator with real familiarity with SAT/AP, study culture, homeschool communities, education and short-form video
