Product Manager Paid Through Equity

## About the Role As Product Manager, you own the roadmap for the Jetzy app end to end — translating user needs, business goals, and data into shipped features. You'll sit between design, engineering, and growth, and you'll be the person who decides what we build next and why. This is a hands-on role with high autonomy and direct line of sight to company strategy. ## What You'll Do - Own the product roadmap: prioritize features, define requirements, and write clear specs that engineering and design can run with. - Lead discovery — user interviews, surveys, and behavioral data — to figure out what users actually need versus what they say they need. - Define and track the metrics that matter (activation, retention, engagement) and use them to drive decisions, not just report them. - Run the full product cycle: scoping, prioritization, sprint planning, QA, launch, and post-launch iteration. - Partner with marketing and growth to align product launches with acquisition campaigns (e.g., study-abroad and active-lifestyle audiences). - Maintain the backlog and communicate roadmap and tradeoffs clearly to leadership. ## Requirements - 2+ years in product management, or equivalent experience owning a product/feature from idea to launch. - Hands-on experience with JavaScript — you can read and develop code, understand technical tradeoffs, and speak the same language as engineering. - Working proficiency in Visual Studio Code (VS Code) as your development environment. - Comfort with data — you can pull, read, and reason about product metrics without waiting on someone else. - Strong written communication; you can turn a fuzzy idea into a crisp spec. - Track record of shipping, and of making prioritization calls under uncertainty. ## Preferred - Experience with consumer mobile apps, marketplaces, or social platforms. - Familiarity with tools like Figma, Jira/Linear, Amplitude/Mixpanel, or similar. - Interest in travel, study-abroad, or sports/active-lifestyle markets. - Early-stage / startup experience and a bias toward action. ## About Jetzy Jetzy is an exclusive social-travel platform that helps people discover places, plans, and each other — from study-abroad students mapping their semester to active travelers building their next trip.
