Associate Attorney Insurance Defense Litigation

## About the role Our client is seeking an Associate Attorney with 3–5 years of litigation experience to join a busy Insurance Defense practice. The ideal candidate will manage an active litigation docket and handle injury-related defense matters for major insurance carriers. ## Responsibilities - Manage approximately 30 litigation files independently - Handle injury and insurance defense cases from start to resolution - Review medical records, billing documents, pleadings, and discovery - Attend hearings, depositions (mostly via Zoom), mediations, and trials - Prepare weekly written reports for carrier representatives with case updates, exposure analysis, and recommendations - Meet monthly billing expectations (160 hours/month) ## Requirements - 3–5 years of litigation experience - Background in injury litigation required (either plaintiff or defense side) - Defense-side experience preferred due to billing, timekeeping, and client reporting requirements - Plaintiff-side candidates will also be considered - Strong legal writing, organization, and case management skills - Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment ## What we offer - Competitive compensation - Standard benefits package - Hybrid work schedule ## About the company Location: San Antonio, TX (Hybrid – 3 Days Office / 2 Days Remote) Employment Type: Full-Time
