## About Justice Bid Justice Bid helps Fortune 500 companies control and optimize billions in legal spend, an area that is still largely manual, fragmented, and inefficient today. Our platform supports outside counsel rate review, RFP/bidding, and counsel management, and we're actively building AI-powered workflows that automate repetitive legal operations tasks our clients currently do by hand. Our customers include Fortune 50 giants, but we operate like a small, high-leverage product and engineering team. Individual contributors here have outsized impact. The right person in this role will help define how modern product development, AI-assisted workflows, and legal ops automation come together in a category that is ready to change. ## About the Role We're looking for a Product Manager / Senior Product Manager who can turn ambitious founder-led product vision into clear requirements, focused engineering work, successful launches, and measurable customer value. The founders are setting the company and product vision. You will help make that vision real. This role sits at the center of product execution. You'll work directly with the CTO and engineering to translate direction into the right product shape: clear specs, scoped work, thoughtful tradeoffs, customer-ready launches, and tight feedback loops. You'll figure out how the pieces should fit together, where ambiguity needs to be resolved, what engineering needs in order to move fast, and how we know whether what we shipped actually worked. You are not here to create process for process's sake. You are here to bring product judgment, structure, engineering fluency, customer empathy, and execution discipline so the best ideas become clear, buildable, launchable, adopted features. This role has wide scope across the full Justice Bid platform. Some days you'll be refining workflows and requirements with the founders and CTO. Other days you'll be in Linear with engineering scoping a sprint, pressure-testing edge cases, coordinating launch readiness with client success, or joining a customer call to understand workflow friction. You'll have real ownership over how we build, deliver, launch, and learn. ## Ownership Model You'll report to the CTO and own the operating cadence that turns product direction into customer value: requirements, backlog readiness, delivery coordination, launch readiness, internal enablement, feedback loops, and success measurement. You'll influence roadmap decisions by bringing customer evidence, usage data, engineering constraints, delivery tradeoffs, adoption signals, and product judgment to the conversation. The founders will set the broader vision and company-level direction; your job is to help determine how that vision becomes executable, coherent, and valuable in the product. ## What You'll Do - Partner with the founders, CTO, and engineering team to shape, pressure-test, and refine product specs, workflows, mockups, and requirements. - Translate product direction into well-scoped engineering work: epics, stories, acceptance criteria, dependencies, edge cases, rollout plans, and launch considerations. - Own backlog readiness, ensuring work is clear enough for engineering to estimate, sequence, build, test, and ship. - Work with engineering to sequence and schedule work, make practical tradeoffs on scope, timeline, and quality, and manage execution when plans meet reality. - Help product and engineering operate in a more agentic workflow, where clear specs, strong context, AI-assisted development, and fast review loops accelerate delivery without sacrificing quality. - Keep product, engineering, client success, and sales aligned on what is being built, why it matters, when it is launching, and how success will be measured. - Track features through completion: not just "merged," but validated, documented, launched, adopted, and measured. - Own launch readiness for major features, including CS/Sales handoff, enablement materials, release notes, rollout plans, feedback loops, and post-launch retrospectives. - Stay close to customers by joining calls, understanding workflows, identifying friction, and incorporating feedback into product decisions. - Define and track product success metrics, including adoption, workflow completion, customer trust, AI accuracy, support burden, retention/revenue impact, and time-to-value. - Proactively identify gaps or friction in the product and push improvements through to delivery. - Help establish and improve the product development process as we grow; we're building this muscle, not just filling a seat. ## Metrics / Outcomes You'll Own - Definition of Ready completeness on committed work: At least 90% of work entering a sprint has the problem statement, acceptance criteria, dependencies, and edge cases documented. This is the single biggest leverage point on our engineering velocity. - Delivery predictability: At least 85% of committed roadmap milestones ship within the agreed window. - Late-stage scope churn: Less than 15% scope change after Design Ready, excluding leadership-approved tradeoffs. - Launch adoption: For Tier 1 launches, at least 70% of enabled accounts reach the defined value event within 60 days. Ships that don't land don't count. - AI workflow acceptance rate: At least 60% acceptance/usefulness on AI-assisted recommendations in beta, improving release over release. - Evidence-backed roadmap bets: At least 90% of roadmap items above a defined size have a written evidence brief tying customer pain, usage data, and commercial rationale — retention, expansion, or new logo impact — before commitment. - Workflow efficiency: Reduce manual steps, cycle time, or repetitive work in core legal ops workflows. - Support burden: Reduce avoidable support tickets, customer confusion, manual workarounds, and escalation volume. - Product quality: Improve validation, documentation, usability, maintainability, and post-launch learning. ## What Success Looks Like Engineering starts work with clear, execut
