About the Role

Reporting to: Head of Data Enablement

Type: Full-Time, Hybrid (Toronto)

Focus: Analysis, Dashboards Development, Intermediate Analytics Engineering, Stakeholder Enablement

This is a full-time Senior Data Analyst role based in Toronto, ON (Hybrid). The Senior Data Analyst will be responsible for analyzing, interpreting, and visualizing data to drive business decisions. The role requires creating and maintaining data models with dbt, performing statistical analyses, generating actionable insights, building Power BI dashboards, and driving stakeholder engagements during requirements gathering and UAT sessions. You will also contribute to data strategy initiatives and best practices.

You will report directly to the Data Enablement Lead and collaborate with Technical BAs, BI Engineers, and Analytics Engineers across client engagements.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain Power BI reports that provide insights from complex datasets and help stakeholders self-serve.
Continuously communicate findings and project status proactively to both technical and non-technical audiences
Develop dbt data models for downstream consumption by Power BI semantic models and reports.
Validate data quality, flag inconsistencies, and help drive root-cause fixes upstream.
Use Claude Code and AI-assisted workflows to accelerate data models development, analysis, dashboard development, and documentation.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field
4–6 years of experience in data analysis, BI, or analytics engineering roles.
Hands-on Power BI experience (semantic models, DAX, report design) and strong SQL skills.
Experience with modern cloud data platforms (Microsoft Fabric and Azure preferred).
Experience working with modelling tools (dbt, Ellie.ai) to transform raw data into reusable data models in the data warehouse
Excellent communication skills: able to present findings clearly to technical and business audiences.
Comfortable working independently and driving analyses end-to-end.
Prior experience in consultancy and enterprise data environments in industries like Credit and Lending, Real Estate, Banking and Finance.

Nice to Have

Experience with Python for data manipulation and automation.
Experience with Git, CI/CD and Azure DevOps.
Exposure to Claude Code or other AI-assisted analysis workflows.
Experience coaching or mentoring junior analysts.
