## About the Role You'll be our Founding Engineer — the first technical hire — owning the architectural foundation of our Total Revenue and Profit Optimization Platform. You aren't just writing code; you're designing the engine that will scale to our first 10 pilot hotels and beyond. For your first 3-4 weeks, you'll work alongside the founding team on a detailed project plan. From there, you lead execution of Phase 1 (Rooms RMS + Market Intelligence) and grow into the technical lead role as we add 4-5 engineers (plus 2-3 interns) over the next 12-18 months. ## Why Us? - Domain expertise on tap. Your work will be visible and consequential. ## Who We're Looking For - 4-6 years of backend engineering experience - Shipped at least 2-3 end-to-end products to production (SaaS, analytics, or B2B preferred) - At least one project with complex data models and external API integrations - Fintech, travel tech, AdTech, e-commerce, or logistics backgrounds all translate well — hospitality domain experience is not mandatory - Strong in Python or Node.js/TypeScript; strong PostgreSQL fundamentals - Comfortable with REST APIs, webhooks, queues/async processing, idempotency, and retries - You operate well as a technical lead in a lean, fast-moving environment ## Key Goals (First 6 Months) - Build the canonical Rooms data schema (Bookings, OTB, Competitor signals) - Launch the Market Intelligence ingestion engine - Finalize the "Rooms Center" APIs for our pilot launch ## To Apply To apply, please answer these 3 questions in your application note: - These tell us how you think.
