## About the Role
Do you want to join a scale-up fitness startup in full expansion mode? If so, you have stopped at the right place.
We're looking for a hands-on Software Engineer to lead the Solo60 gym & wellness experience app suites.
They have an exciting tech product to revolutionise how fitness and recovery spaces are managed end-to-end, from dynamic bookings to matching members with personal trainers and providing insights.
As a Lead Software Engineer, you will be working directly with the CEO and CPO to shape our product.
## What You'll Do
- Architect, develop, and maintain scalable backend (Node.js) and frontend (Next.js) systems.
- Implement the following features in our user app (React Native, Expo)
- Own AWS infrastructure, deployments, and performance optimisations.
- Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver high-quality features.
- Work with our external development teams, guiding them and pairing with them.
- Ensure best practices in coding, security, and DevOps (CI/CD, Vercel).
- Drive technical roadmaps and align engineering efforts with business goals.
## What We're Looking For
- We're looking for a hands-on Full-Stack Engineering Lead to help build and scale the Solo60 platform. You'll work across a modern stack (Node.js, Next.js, React Native/Expo) while leveraging AI coding copilots like Claude and GitHub Copilot to accelerate development. With 7+ years in full-stack development and 3+ years leading engineering teams, you'll drive architecture decisions, mentor developers, and stay deeply involved in coding. Our platform runs on AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS) with Vercel deployments and modern CI/CD pipelines, and we're looking for someone excited to build impactful products at the intersection of technology and fitness.
