## About the Role At VOPSAI, you will build a meaningful and rewarding career with real flexibility to balance work and life moments. You will be trusted to deliver real, impactful results to incite a rewarding career with growth opportunities. You will be supported by a highly skilled team looking to deliver high-impact solutions to large scale organizations primarily in the healthcare sector. We are looking for an AI Agent Engineer to design, build, and deploy intelligent AI agents using Microsoft's AI ecosystem. This role focuses on creating production-ready AI agents that support operational workflows, automate complex tasks, and integrate safely with enterprise systems. You will work across low-code and engineering-level tools, combining Microsoft Copilot Studio with Microsoft Foundry to deliver scalable and secure AI solutions. This is a high impact role that requires deep technical expertise in Microsoft AI technologies and cloud-based services. A proven track record in building scalable and efficient AI solutions for modern healthcare applications will show that you are set up for success in this role. ## Responsibilities - Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of services for extremely high scale, throughput, durability, and low latency - Design and build AI agents using Microsoft Copilot Studio - Develop and deploy autonomous and workflow-based agents using Microsoft Foundry - Build production-grade agents using the Microsoft Foundry SDK (Python / C# / TypeScript) - Define agent behavior, tools, memory, and reasoning workflows - Integrate agents with enterprise data and APIs - Implement human-in-the-loop and governance controls - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, project managers, and QA teams to translate workflows into agent-based solutions - Monitor agent performance and continuously improve outputs - Stay up to date with the latest AI technologies, particularly those in the Microsoft ecosystem and integrate new tools and methodologies to improve existing solutions ## Qualifications - Minimum 5 years of professional development deploying solutions using modern development programming languages preferably in Healthcare - Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field - 2+ years' experience leading the definition of requirements, KPIs, priorities and planning of engineering deliverables - Technology Certifications (preferred but not necessary) - Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate (AI-102) - Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204) - Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) - Power Platform Developer Associate (PL-400) ## Additional Required Skills (Must Have) - **Copilot Studio** - 2+ years experience building and configuring agents using Microsoft Copilot Studio - Designing conversation flows, topics, and action integrations - Connecting agents to workflows and enterprise systems - **Microsoft Foundry (Platform Experience)** - 2+ years experience building AI agents within Microsoft Foundry - Understanding of agent orchestration, tools, memory, and knowledge integration - Deploying and managing Foundry projects - **Microsoft Foundry SDK / Code-First Agent Development** - 2+ years experience building agents using Foundry SDKs (Python, C#, or TypeScript) - Implementing tool calling, orchestration loops, and agent logic - API integration and service orchestration - Strong engineering mindset for scalable AI systems ## Additional/Preferred Qualifications (Not Mandatory) - Master's degree in computer science or related technical field - Azure OpenAI Service experience - Power Automate or Logic Apps - Semantic Kernel or agent orchestration frameworks - Azure Functions / serverless architectures - Microsoft Graph API integrations - Enterprise security and governance awareness - Experience working in healthcare or regulated environments (e.g., NHS) - Prompt engineering and evaluation workflows - Multi-agent system design ## Candidate Demonstration Requirements As part of the interview process, candidates will be expected to: - Present previous AI agent or automation projects they have personally built or led - Walk through end-to-end workflows, including: - Problem definition - Agent design approach - Orchestration logic - Human oversight model - Integrations used - Lessons learned - Explain architectural decisions and trade-offs made during implementation - Demonstrate how agents were monitored, improved, and maintained after deployment - Candidates should be comfortable explaining both technical implementation and workflow design decisions ## What We're Specifically Looking For - Real delivery experience, not just proof-of-concept work - Practical understanding of how AI agents fit into operational workflows - Ability to think in systems and workflows, not just prompts or models - Experience balancing automation with human decision-making ## Compensation Expectations The wide range for this role takes into account a range of factors including (but not limited to) experience, training, licensure and certifications, geographic location, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired near the top of the range for their role, and compensation varies based on the circumstances of the case.
