AI OPS Engineer (✨immediate start ✨)

## About the role
AI-assisted development has crossed the threshold from experiment to production system. But most companies are still running AI like it's 2023: ad hoc tool adoption, no cost attribution, no safety guarantees, no cross-team consistency. That's not a tooling gap — it's an infrastructure gap.
The AI Ops Engineer closes it.
You'll own the platform that makes AI productive, safe, and economically rational across every team — engineering, product, operations, and beyond. You're not configuring tools. You're building the operating layer that determines how fast this company can learn, ship, and compound.
If a Context Engineer makes AI effective within a codebase, the AI Ops Engineer makes AI effective everywhere — across repos, teams, workflows, and business functions.
This is one of the highest-leverage roles in the company.
## What you'll own
- AI-native CI/CD with quality, safety, and intelligence gates
- Cross-repo agent infrastructure (Claude Code, MCP servers, shared context libraries)
- Multi-model routing strategy and provider management
- Token spend visibility and cost-per-outcome optimization
- Internal automation workflows (n8n and beyond)
- Security scanning and AI-specific risk management
- Safe AI enablement for non-technical teams
## You're likely a fit if
- You automate your own workflows unprompted
- You have strong opinions about pipeline architecture
- You get genuine satisfaction from systems that quietly work at scale
## Core background
- DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Developer Experience — with deep CI/CD fluency, strong scripting ability, and an observability mindset
- LLM API experience and familiarity with agent tooling are a strong plus
## This role reports to
- The VP of Engineering / CTO
- Has direct ownership of AI tooling spend
- Compensation is benchmarked against senior platform engineering roles
## Compensation philosophy
- This role sits at the intersection of infrastructure, AI, and company-wide leverage
- Compensation reflects that — it's benchmarked against senior platform engineering roles, not junior DevOps
## The mindset we're hiring for
- This is not "keep the lights on." This is build the power plant — then make it reliable, safe, observable, scalable, and intelligent
- You'll be trusted with systems that influence how code gets written, reviewed, and shipped
- How risk is controlled
- How costs are managed
- How quickly the entire company can learn, adapt, and execute
- Every team's ceiling is partly determined by the platform you build
- Every dollar of AI spend either compounds or evaporates based on the infrastructure you design
## If that sounds exciting
- If you want to build the platform that makes everyone else sharper, faster, and more capable — this role is for you
## About the company
- Ideawise is an equal opportunity employer
