Quality Assurance Engineer - Remote

## About Us We're a VC-backed, early stage startup in Toronto putting the PC into the cloud. Through our downloadable application we can turn old or underpowered computers into powerful workstations. Similar to how Netflix streams movies to your screen, we stream a powerful computer. We've got several paying customers within our beachhead market of 3D modeling in Architecture, Engineering, and Construction. ## About the Role As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for testing and providing improvement feedback for Softnet (web dashboard) and Softstream (remote desktop application) products. Your role will involve creating and executing test plans, identifying and reporting bugs, and collaborating with developers to enhance the overall user experience. ## Key Responsibilities - Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for Softnet (web dashboard) and Softstream (remote desktop application) - Perform manual and automated testing on both products - Identify, document, and track bugs and issues using our project management tool - Collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve issues - Provide constructive feedback for product improvements ## Requirements - 5+ years of experience as a QA with web applications and Windows desktop software - Experience with automated testing - Experience with at least one of the following: iOS, macOS, Linux, Android - Experience with at least one test plan system - Experience with at least one ticketing system (e.g. Jira or Clickup) - Basic Windows and Linux command line experience - Basic knowledge of RDBMS concepts - Familiarity with Git version control system - CI/CD pipeline experience - Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast paced team environment ## Nice-to-Have Skills - Customer support - Programming and scripting languages - Team leadership - Knowledge of remote desktop technologies - Working knowledge of virtualization (KVM) and VM management software (oVirt, vSphere, OpenStack) - API testing
