Solutions Architect II, Amazon Web Services, Education - Mid-Atlantic

## Responsibilities - Design and deliver cloud architecture solutions that meet infrastructure and application requirements for State and Local Government and Higher Education customers, incorporating best practices for security, scalability, and performance - Lead architecture reviews, technical workshops, and proof-of-concept projects that demonstrate innovative cloud solutions and help customers envision transformative possibilities for their organizations - Serve as a trusted technical advisor by taking the time to understand each customer's unique business context, technology challenges, and long-term goals, then translating those needs into technical requirements - Collaborate with account teams, professional services, and AWS engineering groups to scope customer engagements with clear objectives, drive timely delivery of value, and ensure customer success throughout their cloud adoption journey - Educate customers and internal teams by developing and delivering technical content such as presentations, workshops, and best practice guidance, while capturing and sharing knowledge that advances the broader Solutions Architecture community ## Requirements - 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience - 2+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience - 4+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience ## Nice to Have - Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries - Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud - Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective - Experience in technology/software sales, pre-sales, or consulting - Experience with AWS technologies - Experience developing, deploying and managing AI products at scale ## Benefits You will join a collaborative team of 10 Solutions Architects dedicated to supporting State and Local Government, Higher Education, and K-12 customers across the mid-Atlantic region.
