Sr Software Development Engineer, Digital Acceleration

## Responsibilities - Architect, design, build, test, and improve mission critical systems that power customer’s digital purchases (e.g., subscriptions) at Amazon. - Define automation strategy, automation cases, and design tools for unit, functional, and performance testing in a programmatic manner. - Propose improvements to existing processes and automated tools to enhance development & release speed, quality, and efficiency. - Lead the development and testing culture powered by GenAI, evangelizing processes and strategies across multiple teams. - Coach and support teams to define tactics to elevate software quality. - Collaborate with Software Development Engineers, Principal Engineers, Product Managers, and TPMs on complex and highly-technical projects. - Build capabilities that enable automatic validation of multiple digital experiences at scale. ## Requirements - 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience. - 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language. - 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems. - Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team. - Strong background in algorithms, data structures, Java, and databases (both SQL and NoSQL). - Ability to communicate clearly and concisely (both written and orally) and work well in a team across geographies. - Ability to quickly adapt to new development environments, learn new systems, create reliable and maintainable code, and find creative and scalable solutions to difficult problems. - Experience working with high-traffic, scalable services is a plus. ## Nice to Have - 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent. ## Benefits - Comprehensive benefits including health insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave. - Base salary range, sign-on payments, and restricted stock units (RSUs). - Inclusive culture and opportunities for growth and impact. - Work with cutting-edge technologies and high-availability services and distributed systems. - Influence and shape the future of Amazon's digital businesses through innovation and automation.
