Supervise and coordinate underground mining activities throughout the shift, ensure shift activities are completed safely and in accordance with operational requirements, coordinate underground crews, equipment and work areas, monitor progress against shift priorities, identify and address operational issues affecting safety or production, conduct effective shift handovers, provide clear leadership and direction to underground mining crews, allocate personnel and resources according to shift priorities, conduct pre-start meetings and toolbox discussions, monitor crew performance and provide coaching, maintain a strong focus on safety across all underground activities, ensure personnel comply with site safety procedures and statutory obligations, participate in workplace inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations, lead by example to promote a positive safety culture
