Responsibilities
Prepare and update underground mine development plans; Participate in short and medium-term mine work planning; Prepare, review, approve, and sign/seal engineering plans and documents; Produce and validate drilling and blasting plans; Design underground excavations, ramps, galleries, and infrastructure; Monitor work progress against plans and schedules; Collaborate with the mining contractor to optimize work sequences and productivity; Conduct regular underground visits and inspections to validate work execution; Track quantities, development meters, excavated volumes, and other performance indicators; Collaborate with geology, surveying, geotechnical, environmental, and health-safety teams; Contribute to developing and improving standards, procedures, and methods for underground operations; Identify technical and operational challenges and propose adapted solutions; Ensure work is performed in accordance with plans, engineering best practices, and applicable Quebec regulations; Provide daily technical support to the Director of Mining Operations and the project team.
