Software Development Engineer

Salary: $125,000 - 185,000 per year
Requirements:
Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline At least 8 years of software development experience, including 3 or more years in a leadership capacity Hands-on experience with multiple languages and frameworks such as Python, Java, C++, or JavaScript Solid grasp of software engineering principles, data structures, and algorithms Experience working with Agile and Scrum methodologies Proficiency with Git or similar version control tools Familiarity with cloud platforms and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases Understanding of secure coding practices and application security Experience building software for technical security applications Ability to convert complex technical needs into working software solutions Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities Preferred: experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines Preferred: knowledge of system architecture, microservices, and distributed systems Preferred: experience with performance tuning and optimization Preferred: contributions to open-source projects Preferred: advanced certifications in cloud technologies or programming languages
Responsibilities:
Develop TSSC analysis tools Build reporting and visualization applications Implement signal processing algorithms Integrate solutions with existing Government systems Deliver secure, functional software tools for analyzing TSSC data that align with user needs Create effective algorithms that improve signal processing and threat detection capabilities Design intuitive visualization tools that make TSSC data easier to understand Develop customized reporting interfaces that streamline workflows and meet user requirements Ensure secure integration with Government systems and provide appropriate documentation Submit weekly software development status updates to track progress and surface issues Produce well-documented code and technical specifications to support maintenance Prepare applications to pass security testing prior to deployment
