Junior Systems Engineer
Salary: $70,000 - 122,000 per year
Requirements:
We require at least two years of experience in software or systems engineering work. We are looking for familiarity with avionics systems. We require an active Secret clearance. We may ask candidates to qualify for a Top Secret clearance after starting. We require U.S. citizenship for clearance eligibility. We require a bachelors degree in a technical field from an ABET-accredited program. We prefer experience with DOD-STD-2167A, MIL-STD-498, or IEEE 12207. We prefer experience in systems software, systems-of-systems engineering, MBSE, or systems safety and reliability. We prefer experience with military aircraft avionics systems and software. We prefer experience with Agile software development practices.
Responsibilities:
We develop and maintain software requirements. We review and assess vendor software specifications. We coordinate with vendors on software and system integration efforts. We analyze software defects. We collaborate with cybersecurity subject matter experts. We take part in System Engineering Technical Reviews, including SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, and TRRs. We support the Engineering Change Proposal process. We participate in Agile and SAFe team workflows. We prepare and review Statements of Work and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists. We develop Independent Government Cost Estimates. We support technical evaluations of contractor proposals.
