Responsibilities
Design, deploy, secure, and support hybrid cloud and on-premises network and database infrastructure; Configure, troubleshoot, and support Always On Availability Groups, Failover Cluster Instances, and hybrid cloud database architectures; Partner with security teams to apply hardening standards across network and database systems; Improve the performance, scalability, and cost efficiency of SQL and network resources; Administer and support current data information systems and applications; Install, manage, and troubleshoot network systems and security solutions; Keep software updated with the latest security patches and protective controls; Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, identify threats, and help develop disaster recovery plans; Configure security systems, review security requirements, and recommend enhancements; Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and unauthorized access attempts; Create network policies and authorization roles to protect against misuse, modification, or destruction; Consult with staff, managers, and executives on security best practices and provide technical guidance; Configure and support tools such as firewalls and antivirus software; Train staff on security protocols and awareness; Complete risk assessments, audits, staff training sessions, and ongoing monitoring of network activity; Work within established procedures to maintain network security and comply with applicable regulations, including privacy and HIPAA/HITECH requirements; Travel to local office and data center locations as needed.
