Container Platform Operations Lead

Salary: $102,000 - 142,000 per year
Requirements:
We require at least six years of experience working on projects that implement solutions using development life cycles such as SDLC. We require at least four years in a technical leadership role, with or without direct reports. We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, CIS, or a related discipline, plus at least ten years of experience in software development or a related field; equivalent work experience may replace the degree requirement.
Responsibilities:
We lead multiple work streams by defining customer and operational needs, updating procedures and policies, securing cross-functional support, converting business strategy into actionable requirements, coordinating resources, setting standards, tracking progress, removing barriers, and resolving highly complex issues. We foster self-leadership and team growth by encouraging feedback, building collaborative relationships, coaching and mentoring others, communicating guidance, balancing competing priorities, and adapting to change. We provide expert recommendations for complex technical solutions that satisfy design and functional needs. We collaborate with architects and software consultants to turn functional specifications into flexible, scalable, and maintainable solution designs. We provide technical direction for the development, configuration, or modification of integrated business and enterprise application solutions across diverse computing environments. We translate business requirements and functional specifications into program designs, code modules, stable systems, and software solutions in partnership with business analysts and other team members. We build and maintain trusted relationships with internal customers, third-party vendors, and senior leadership to align stakeholders and secure support. We oversee the review and implementation of technical solution recommendations across multiple functions. We ensure interfaces, methods, parameters, procedures, and functions align with architectural designs and support technical solutions. We define data management strategy within our information architecture, including information structures, secure information services, and effective storage, sharing, and publishing of data. We establish database technology strategies and provide specialist expertise in database tools, facilities, and architectures, often guiding a technical team. We support project teams throughout the release cycle of business and enterprise software solutions. We advise team members on incident response for complex issues. We partner with IT teams and vendors to ensure code adheres to our architectural standards, design patterns, and technical specifications. We keep our technical expertise current by participating in conferences and networking with other industry experts. We guide consultation efforts to ensure new and existing software solutions reflect industry best practices, strategies, and architectures. We advise the organization on software engineering topics, including market trends, new programs, and applications. We review and validate resource estimates for complex design, coding, and testing efforts. We identify the interfaces, methods, parameters, procedures, and functions needed to support technical solutions and act as an escalation point for complex requirements translation issues. We leverage DevOps, Waterfall, and Agile practices to design, build, and deliver resilient, secure, multi-channel, high-volume, high-transaction, cloud-based solutions.
