Information Security Engineer
Salary: $125,000 - 195,000 per year
Requirements:
We require an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility; selected applicants will undergo a security investigation and must be eligible for access to classified information. We require U.S. citizenship to obtain and maintain the clearance. We are seeking someone with experience in cybersecurity requirements development, cyber threat analysis, cyber engineering, cyber systems architecture development, or cybersecurity policy development. We need five years of program-specific security engineering experience supporting Navy afloat or tactical combat systems, or ten years of general security engineering experience. We require a minimum IAT Level II certification or higher under DoD 8570.01, or a successor standard. If you will serve as a privileged user, we require a final adjudicated T-5/T-R with an IT Level 1 designation in JPAS, maintained as required. Privileged users must complete operating system and computer environment training for each version within six months of the start date, with training and assessment documentation provided by the contractor. We are looking for a strong understanding of cybersecurity, military system specifications, and DoD Information Assurance policies for both land-based and afloat/tactical systems. We need someone who can communicate clearly and concisely in both written and verbal presentations. A bachelors degree in cybersecurity is preferred.
Responsibilities:
We develop cybersecurity requirements, policy standards, best practices, and procedural guidance for combat systems. We conduct cybersecurity research, analysis, and coordination to support DoD cyber assurance and policy efforts across multiple classification levels. We lead working groups to create cybersecurity strategies that address emerging threats. We analyze cybersecurity, intelligence, and information technology policy gaps affecting combat systems. We perform cybersecurity systems engineering design, analysis, and documentation for combat systems. We build cybersecurity risk assessments and mitigation plans for combat systems. We create documentation covering cybersecurity requirements, gap analysis, threat analysis, systems engineering, risk assessment, and mitigation activities. We use or develop MBSE models to support cybersecurity analysis.
