Senior DevOps Engineer

Salary: $101,000 - 178,135 per year
Requirements:
We require a bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related field, or equivalent experience combined with education, along with 6+ years of professional experience; alternatively, a related masters degree with 4 years of experience. We require the ability to perform all duties defined in the GG Statement of Work (SOW) Appendix B for the USG standard SE labor category level 3. We value experience using PowerShell, Python, Bash, Terraform, and Ansible to automate server provisioning, patching, configuration management, and deployment workflows. We value background in large-scale server lifecycle management, including building, maintaining, and transforming operating system baselines and server configurations. We value knowledge of Linux system programming and development environments. We value familiarity with RF signal analysis or satellite communications system design and theory. Responsibilities:
We lead customer-facing, mission-critical system integration, testing, and deployment activities. We design, implement, and maintain DevOps pipelines for C++ or Python applications. We develop integration strategies that bring together hardware, software, and network components into a unified system. We plan and execute integration and testing efforts, including system-level verification, performance assessment, and requirement validation. We work with the integration team to document, track, and resolve recurring issues and system failures during testing and operations. We identify, troubleshoot, and correct defects in existing software. We create automated testing and deployment scripts using tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD. We collaborate with system architects, project managers, and other cross-functional partners to ensure requirements are met and delivery stays on schedule. We maintain thorough documentation for pipelines, processes, and interfaces to support knowledge transfer and continuity.
