Software Engineer Mid
Salary: $229,000 - 269,000 per year
Requirements:
We require a bachelors degree from an accredited college in software engineering, a related discipline, or equivalent combined education and experience, along with 2 years of professional experience. We need demonstrated experience developing Java-based applications in a UNIX/Linux environment. We need experience building software within a structured, process-driven integrated team. We need demonstrated experience using configuration management tools in software development, such as Git or GitLab. We expect familiarity with standard systems engineering design artifacts, including system requirements, use cases, and SysML diagrams. A Security+ certification or equivalent may be required within 60 days of start date. You must be a U.S. citizen to be considered, as this role requires a government security clearance. A Secret clearance level is required. Desired background includes Java application design and development, enhancing legacy software, building complex mathematical algorithms from design documentation, analyzing software against performance targets, addressing cyber or security findings from tools such as Fortify or SonarQube, and working with Maven or Gradle and automated unit testing frameworks.
Responsibilities:
We design and develop new Java applications and maintain existing ones. We support software testing and resolve issues across multiple baselines. We produce software design artifacts and participate in design and code reviews. We contribute to the design, development, and testing of C2BMC applications in a fast-paced agile environment. We help engineer, integrate, and expand capabilities for the U.S. Missile Defense System. We work onsite full-time at a designated Lockheed Martin facility on a 4x10 schedule with three days off per week.
