Senior Systems Engineer - Camden
Salary: $115,510 - 211,683 per year
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline; Masters degree preferred. Active DoD security clearance required (minimum SECRET). Over 10 years of Systems Engineering experience related to Information Assurance systems or equivalent products. Comprehensive understanding of the Systems Engineering lifecycle from concept to testing, including architecture development and requirements traceability. Proven experience in planning, developing, and executing security feature verification activities. Practical experience in system integration and testing for complex embedded or networked systems. Familiarity with authoring and reviewing documentation for formal design evaluations. Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). Established record in the architecture, design, analysis, integration, and testing of NSA Type-1 certified or NSA-approved systems. Background in security verification test planning and execution. Knowledgeable about the NSA Type-1 certification process and interactions with NSA technical evaluators. Experience supporting NSA security Certification & Verification activities, including evidence production and certification findings resolution. Understanding of security architecture development, emphasizing on making and justifying intricate security trade-offs in high-assurance systems. Familiarity with Type-1, Suite A, Suite B, and commercial cryptographic algorithms (both symmetric and asymmetric). Understanding of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), TLS, and certificate/key management. Knowledge of key management systems applied to End Cryptographic Units (ECUs). Experience with secure networking protocols and embedded Linux environments for cryptographic devices. Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities to coordinate team efforts, influence decisions, and communicate changes effectively.
Responsibilities:
Utilize security and cryptography expertise throughout the Systems Engineering lifecycle to develop and certify National Security systems promptly, within budget, and with minimal residual risk. Contribute to the design, development, and testing of high-assurance security solutions for customers in the Defense and Intelligence sectors. Create Concepts of Operations (CONOPS), decompose and synthesize security requirements, verify security features, and assist in planning and executing design and security tests. Facilitate NSA certification processes, secure networking integration, and embedded platform security for Type-1 cryptographic communication systems. Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Systems Lead in Information Assurance, Security, and Cryptography. Willingness to travel up to 10% as required. Ability to obtain and maintain US Security Clearances.
