Cybersecurity Engineer - Bel Alton

Salary: $125,000 - 195,000 per year
Requirements:
We require five years of program-specific security engineering experience supporting Navy afloat or tactical combat systems, or ten years of broad security engineering experience. We require at least an IAT Level II certification or a higher credential under DoD 8570.01, or its successor. For privileged users, we require a final adjudicated T-5/T-R with an IT Level 1 designation in JPAS, along with maintained compliance. Privileged users must complete OS/Computer Environment training for each version within six months of the start date, with training and documented assessment provided by the contractor. We require a solid understanding of cybersecurity, military system specifications, and DoD Information Assurance policies for land-based and afloat/tactical systems. We require strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely. An active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a clearance. A bachelors degree in cybersecurity is preferred.
Responsibilities:
We develop cybersecurity requirements, policy standards, best practices, and procedural guidance for combat systems. We conduct cybersecurity research, analysis, and coordination in support of DoD cyber assurance and policy initiatives across multiple classification levels. We lead working groups to shape cybersecurity strategies that address emerging threats. We analyze gaps in cybersecurity, intelligence, and IT policy for combat systems. We perform cybersecurity systems engineering design, analysis, and documentation for combat systems. We create cybersecurity risk assessments and mitigation plans for combat systems. We document cybersecurity requirements, gap analyses, threat assessments, systems engineering work, and risk mitigation for combat systems. We develop or apply MBSE models to support cybersecurity analysis.
