Requirements:
Were looking for 10+ years of general information technology experience. We need 5+ years of hands-on Cisco routing and switching experience. We require 5+ years of VLAN administration experience. Were seeking 5+ years of subnetting experience. We need 3+ years of experience with routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF. We require 2+ years of network design experience. Were looking for 2+ years of integration troubleshooting experience. We need experience administering enterprise LAN/WAN environments. We require experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and related network infrastructure. Were looking for experience maintaining network hardware and software. We need a solid understanding of network architecture and infrastructure design. Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills are required. We require experience supporting enterprise network deployments. The ideal candidate can work independently with minimal supervision. A bachelors degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field is preferred. Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Network+, or Security+ are preferred. Experience with network security, cybersecurity, DNS and DHCP, network monitoring tools, Cisco FMC/Firepower, cable management, solutions design and build, software integrations, and state government or large enterprise environments is preferred.
Responsibilities:
We install, configure, maintain, and support enterprise LAN, WAN, and Internet network infrastructure. We monitor network performance, availability, utilization, and fault conditions. We perform network maintenance to maximize uptime and reliability. We configure, deploy, and maintain network hardware and software. We support Cisco routing, switching, VLAN configuration, and enterprise networking. We design network extensions and connectivity for enterprise infrastructure. We troubleshoot network connectivity and communication issues. We respond to Tier 1 and Tier 2 network and software support requests. We provide break/fix support for network infrastructure and communication systems. We configure and maintain routing protocols including BGP and OSPF. We maintain network documentation, architecture diagrams, inventory, and change records. We support the deployment of new network hardware and communications infrastructure. We assist with infrastructure solution design and implementation. We perform capacity planning and network performance tuning. We analyze existing infrastructure and recommend improvements based on cybersecurity best practices. We support cybersecurity initiatives, including threat mitigation and security enhancements. We work closely with field maintenance teams to implement and troubleshoot communications solutions. We train users and technical staff on networking solutions when needed. We collaborate with cross-functional technical teams on enterprise infrastructure projects. We manage multiple priorities while meeting project timelines.
