Software Engineer

Salary: $90,000 - 115,000 per year
Requirements:
We are looking for a software engineer with strong experience in web application and systems development. We need hands-on proficiency with SQL, including Postgres, IBM i, and Microsoft SQL Server, as well as Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, and Python. We value experience writing clean, maintainable code and working to established engineering standards. We expect familiarity with Docker and containerized solution development. We are seeking someone who can design, maintain, and optimize database structures and SQL scripts across multiple platforms. Experience with ELK Stack components such as Logstash and Elasticsearch is important. Familiarity with low-code/no-code platforms, especially Creatio, is preferred. We value experience building automated ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks Workflows/Lakeflow Jobs and working with Apache Spark. Knowledge of medallion architecture and real-time or batch data processing workflows is needed. We need someone with a strong understanding of automated testing, code review, defect resolution, and performance monitoring. Experience working in regulated environments with HIPAA, OWASP Top 10, HITRUST, and broader compliance standards is required. Strong technical documentation, analysis, and problem-solving skills are expected.
Responsibilities:
We design, develop, and maintain complex web applications and utility programs. We write maintainable, standards-aligned code and improve existing systems over time. We build scalable features and refactor legacy code for better performance. We create and optimize database structures, SQL scripts, and data workflows across multiple platforms. We develop containerized solutions and support automation with Docker. We implement ELK Stack solutions, including Logstash pipelines, Elasticsearch mappings, and data synchronization processes. We build and maintain features on our low-code/no-code platform. We design and support automated ETL/ELT pipelines and medallion architecture data flows. We create data quality checks, validation logic, and error handling across data processing layers. We maintain and troubleshoot Apache Spark pipelines and related data workflows. We build automated tests, perform black box and white box testing, and validate edge cases. We participate in disaster recovery testing, code reviews, and defect remediation. We follow HIPAA and OWASP security practices, support HITRUST efforts, and help maintain compliance documentation. We analyze ticket requirements, document technical decisions, and maintain project specifications. We build prototypes and proof-of-concepts to evaluate new technologies. We assess technical risk, document technical debt, and recommend improvements. We support applications, respond to production issues, and handle access, permission, password reset, and feature requests. We stay current on industry trends, share knowledge, and contribute to engineering best practices.
