Requirements:
We require a bachelors degree. We require at least 5 years of experience in data analysis, systems analysis, quality analysis, business analysis, or a similar role supporting enterprise data, analytics, reporting, or system validation. We require U.S. citizenship because of federal contract requirements. We require the ability to obtain and keep a federal public trust clearance or an equivalent client-mandated background investigation. We require candidates to reside in the United States, be authorized to work in the United States, and complete all work from within the United States. We require candidates to have lived in the United States for three full years out of the last five years. We prefer at least 3 years of hands-on SQL experience, including complex query writing for analysis, reconciliation, troubleshooting, validation, and testing. We prefer at least 1 year of experience with Databricks or a comparable cloud data platform used for analytics, validation, data engineering, reporting, or testing. We prefer at least 1 year of experience validating enterprise functionality, data outputs, dashboards, reports, workflows, or acceptance criteria with business, technical, QA, or product partners. We prefer experience creating and running UAT plans, test cases, acceptance criteria, traceability matrices, defect logs, and results reports for enterprise systems. We prefer experience supporting usability testing, workflow assessment, user research, surveys, or user feedback analysis. We prefer experience in federal data modernization, emergency management, disaster response, public-sector analytics, or other mission-focused IT programs. We prefer experience applying data validation practices in production analytics, reporting, dashboarding, or cloud data platform environments. We prefer experience with analytics, reporting, and visualization tools such as QuickSight, Power BI, Tableau, and ArcGIS, or similar platforms. We prefer experience with data governance, metadata management, data catalogs, role-based access control, data sharing, or federated stewardship models. We prefer experience using Jira, Confluence, GitHub, GitLab, or similar collaboration and delivery tools. We prefer experience working in Agile environments, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, demos, retrospectives, release readiness, or SAFe ceremonies. We prefer strong technical writing skills for documenting testing outcomes, validation findings, user feedback, risks, issues, and recommendations. We prefer the ability to work effectively across multiple teams and workstreams with strong time management, organization, facilitation, and communication skills. We value strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. We value excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working effectively at all levels of the business. Responsibilities:
We perform hands-on data analysis, profiling, reconciliation, and validation using Databricks, SQL, and modern analytics workflows. We verify data quality, data integrity, transformations, business rules, reports, dashboards, and analytic outputs against requirements and acceptance criteria. We write and run SQL-based test queries to support data validation, defect investigation, regression testing, and user acceptance testing. We design, implement, and govern a strong UAT framework, including plans, scenarios, test cases, acceptance criteria, traceability matrices, issue logs, readiness reviews, and results reporting. We coordinate and lead UAT sessions with representative users to confirm real-world workflows, system functionality, usability, and release readiness. We support usability testing by assessing workflow effectiveness, query performance, dashboard usability, self-service features, accessibility considerations, and end-to-end user journeys. We collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, data engineers, QA teams, UX/CX specialists, developers, and client leaders to turn testing results and user feedback into actionable backlog items. We document and share data quality issues, usability concerns, defects, risks, and recommendations in clear, client-ready formats for technical and non-technical audiences. We contribute to Agile delivery by helping refine user stories and participating in backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, demos, retrospectives, and continuous improvement activities. We maintain requirements, testing artifacts, and traceability in tools such as Jira and Confluence from requirements through test execution, validation, and resolution.
